Re: heavy metal
Just changed some of the albums on my MP3, added in some Symphony X and a couple of Machine Head albums. Haven't had a chance to listen to their new one but it's meant to be pretty solid.

Not to derail a metal thread, but I felt like chiming in on the hair...
Sometimes I miss having long hair. I definitely miss having beards. My wife doesn't like when my facial hair is longer than an inch or so because it attacks her face when she hugs me. I also had hair almost to my ass and a weird split-beard (shaved the chin) of decent length. I ended up cutting my hair off after graduating college to facilitate finding a job. I also grew a significant bald spot and it was starting to showing through, so I would have chopped it sooner or later regardless.

Re: heavy metal
Sounds like you had some good hair and facial designs going on haha.
I like beards too, if I was single I'd probably shave very infrequently.

Re: heavy metal
I don't remember exactly, but I started growing out my hair in my early 20s, and chopped it a few months before turning 31. My last beard-growing (full facial beard!) lasted for about 18 months (shaved July 2011) and got to about 6-7 inches with regular trimming.

Re: heavy metal
Yeah, if only I had it at the same time as my long hair, I would have had the viking metal look down!

Re: heavy metal
The beard wasn't that long, but I wouldn't mind sporting one like that! I think my wife would take matters into her own hands (scissors) before it got there though...
