PULLUPS
Anyone here do 150 pullups in a day? If so, how many pullups can you do?
Re: PULLUPS

Re: PULLUPS
On back day, I super set almost each exercise with pullups, and change it with each exercise.
Wide Grip over hand - 10-15(reps) x 3-4 (sets)
side grip - 10-15 x 3-4
Close grip under hand - 10-15 x 3-4
So I guess in total I do anywhere from 90 - 180 pullups during back day!

If I'm fresh; 24 strict (no kipping, leg's hanging not raising at top).
Approximately every second day I'd essentially do between 150-300 pull up's in a session. Although, at the moment I'm training with additional weight or using a latt pull down machine so I'll be down on those figures.
Why do you ask?
NB: I train for ice climbing.
Re: PULLUPS
Maybe 8-12 in a row. 150 in one day is way too much.. for now.

Re: PULLUPS
im a chick i can do ten at once
then like four more sets a few less each one, then five sets of neutral grip (5 each), maybe a total of about 60??if i spent my entire session doing pull ups i could get 150. and im dieting.

Re: PULLUPS
Give me about 90 minutes and as many sets as needed (those first sets of 10-12 will not last long and quickly become sets of 2-4), and I think I might just pull it off!

I ask because I want to see the connection between doing lots of pullups and pullup endurance.
I must ask guys, any of you do mountain climbers? Very curious...
Re: PULLUPS
If I am going to make a day of it, I can do 150. But the sets go down over the course of the day, can't keep up with max sets... so I might start with 10, then do as many as I can like that, then 9, 8 etc. Chin-ups are easier, could start with 15 and work down with those, but either way, same sort of thing.
Re: PULLUPS
30 sets of 5 probably wouldn't be that difficult for me. I'd probably be bored by the 30th set though.
Re: PULLUPS
I did them to start off back and bi's yesterday 12/7/6 then moved on.
Give me an hour and I can do about 100 in sets of 5. I also use a beam in my basement so I usually lose grip.

Re: PULLUPS
150 -> bugger that! My elbow is bung so I can do all of 5 if Im lucky at the mo without being in pain

Just do it.
Re: PULLUPS
I am actually thinking of trying this. Maybe sat or sun. I'm gonna see how many I can do in an hour.
