Hello everyone! My name is Anna porter and I am 17 years old. I have been vegan for 8 months now and am planning on doing my first bikini competition in November. My coach is trying to get me to add eggs back into my diet (locally grown) because during my prep it will allow me to drop my carbs more. I was wondering if y'all have any examples of what a low carb day for you would look like? Thank you so much and I look forward to hearing back from y'all:)

Hi anna, your best bet for super high protein without carbs would be supplements, pea/rice/hemp protein, i don't think there is anything close to the protein content of egg whites without being processed

egg white 90%+ protein calories

wheat gluten/seitan 75%+ protein calories

protein supplements 90%+ protein calories

 

i imagine a low carb day for me (i don't really cut carbs) but i would do something like

lots of leafy greens, smoothies, mushrooms, broccoli in stir fries etc + seitan and tofu

Dump a ton of hemp seeds on your salads or grind them up in your shakes.

 

You should make a thread in the introductions section too if you haven't already.
