I am looking for a low carb high protein soy free plan thats around 1400 calories per day.....is anyone following something like this?

How much do you weigh? Those calories seem too low, even on low carb. And also why soy free? I understand some people have allergies, but alot of people have let misinformation scare them away from it completely.

Hello.

I'm around 141.

Yes I agree the calories are low but I'm eating high fat to try and compelete a cut. Right now I'm working on bring my bf% down.
I say away from soy because of the similar quality it has to the way the body sees estrogen.
There is a long history of female genital cancers and tumors In my family....its actually whay drove me to be as xlose to a raw vegan as possable. Just trying to stay as healthy as possible for as long as possible.

You still sound misinformed about soy. It's actually thought to fight cancer. It's also a great protein source for vegetarians and vegans. Not sure why anyone would want to avoid it, unless they actually had an allergy to it. I think you're missing out on a great source of nutrition by excluding soy from your diet.

Even the American Cancer Society feels positively about soy . . .

"Even though animal studies have shown mixed effects on breast cancer with soy supplements, studies in humans have not shown harm from eating soy foods. Moderate consumption of soy foods appears safe for both breast cancer survivors and the general population, and may even lower breast cancer risk. Avoid soy supplements until more research is done. So, enjoy your occasional tofu stir-fry or tofu burger - they are unlikely to increase your risk of breast cancer and, on balance, are some of the healthier foods you can eat!"

I'm new so I don't mind seeing this thread revived. I've heard about soy increasing estrogen in men, but this is a highly debated issue, as with most scientific theories. Thanks for posting those sources. I'm going to keep on eating my soy. :)
