BlueRose's pics! Come see the insanity!

I just wondered, because I use Henna at the moment, and it washes out so easily.. I almost bought one of the conventional hair-dyes today out of frustration, but each one of them was made by Procter&Gamble (animal-testing) and had warnings like "Keep out of reach of children" on them, so I decided to go for Henna once again I bought another brand of Henna though, so maybe this one will stay in my hair a bit longer.

Some bravery. No makeup, no sucking it in...these are my P90X starting point pics.

In comparison with my previous pics, I gotta like. My waist and hips are obviously smaller and you see my obliques more. The abs aren't as visible in these shots and I'm glad I switched over from the beaucoup cardio to P90X. I need something that'll both challenge me and continue to burn away the remaining fat while gaining the muscle def I want.

I'll provide another set of pics in 30 days.

Okay! I have some progress pics. The changes are subtle, it's only been a little over a month of P90X plus I was sick for two weeks. But I can see a diff:

Before:

After:

My arms are definitely more toned. Those are honestly the hardest for me to tone along with my glutes, so the fact that there's progress makes me want to do the happy dance. I'm also seeing the ab definition again, something I was starting to lose after I lost the 24 or so pounds.

I'll take another set in a month's time.

Wow- it's amazing that you stuck with it for so long- I tried insanity and when I didn't see results after 30 days, I gave up- I'm not doing my own fitness regimen but this is so inspiring!

You have to measure and take pics! No way that the scale is the sole judge, especially if you're a chick. We tend to lean out versus bulk, retain water, all sorts of wheeeee

Just looked through your progression, really awesome you also look really happy and proud which is great and totally deserved, really lovely I'm in week 2 of Insanity at the moment... it really is insanity. And it's coincided with me getting my first headcold in 10 months. You definitely did the right thing building up to it! I'm feeling reinspired to push through after reading this though

Thanks!! Yes, Insanity is intense and you GOT to stick with it! If it weren't for taking the pics, I wouldn't have thought I was getting any results whatsoever.

I've been doing a combo of Combat/Pump/running/other cardio these days, prepping for a couple of 5Ks. Also signed up for a 10K in Oct and a half marathon in Feb.

Very happy that I took the pics now wish I'd been tracking since January. What's a Disney half marathon? Was that the name of it that I saw on your other journal? I'm hoping to be able to run some day, I've had bad shin splints for years. Building up my strength and flexibility slowly

I was into week 5 of Insanity a week ago & sprained my ankle. So, I've had to lay off for awhile. I hate "losing" what I've accomplished this far. At any rate, you look great!

Oh shit! I hear of so many stories of people getting sidetracked while doing Insanity. No worries, you'll come back to it. I just got my certification for that workout a month ago.

And thanks.
