Re: Hair loss!
Hair loss is a condition in which the hair falls at an abnormal rate eventually leading to partial or complete loss of hair. The scalp has at an average 100,000 hairs. A healthy scalp sheds hair continously and new hair replaces them. However when the scalp is not able to produce new hair to replace the shed hair, baldness develops.

Re: Hair loss!
Have you had your thyroid tested? Hair loss and menstural irregularity are both symptoms of thyroid malfunction.

Re: Hair loss!
I have also hair fall problem and i have lost many hair. Someone told me that i should use coconut oil on my hair for making my hair strong and healthy. Is it good for hair? Share your valuable ideas with me. Thanks in advance.
Re: Hair loss!
Just a thought, could it be a gluten intolerance? I'm in the process of going gluten free to see if it cures what ails me.
Re: Hair loss!
I wanted to check back in to let you know that my hair has stopped falling out in mass! I've been gluten free for over a month now and about a week ago I noticed that when I washed my hair I no longer had a handful of hair coming out. I also no longer shed everywhere all day long. I even notice that when I vacuum there isn't much hair in the vacuum cleaner now.
It kind of sucks that I can't have gluten but it's wonderful that I found the reason behind my hair loss! Plus I've actually been eating even better now since I no longer eat processed carbs.
Let us know how you are doing.

Re: Hair loss!
I've been losing hair for years and I am going to be bald. The doctor told me it is heredity and the medical treatment won't help, and I changed my diet, still feel no better. Now, I just let it be and men's short black wigs also give me a good look.

Re: Hair loss!
you guys are great [for the most part] but I've gone back to eating meat and my hair loss has stopped. just know I respect all vegans completely so shame posts about me not being vegan isn't going to help any issue. Thanks everyone.
Re: Hair loss!
For anyone else reading this post who has same issue...
Lysine is a limiting amino acid in vegan diet. A deficiency can cause hair loss. Make sure you are eating beans, legumes or quinoa daily.

If it's important to you, you'll find a way. If it isn't, you'll find an excuse.

Re: Hair loss!
Would Bragg's Liquid Aminos also be sufficient?
Re: Hair loss!
I believe most people only use Braggs in small quantities.. it is a soy sauce or salt replacement - it has less sodium. It has MSG tho so I would not purchase it personally.

Re: Hair loss!
It does have MSG, but isn't it the small amount that is naturally occuring? I use it occasionally but will elimate it if it is detrimental. I am really trying to eat as clean as possible.
Re: Hair loss!
Actually got a shampoo scalp massager and it feels really nice and seems to actually stimulate hair growth like it claims.
