Have you noticed any changes or improvements in your diet since you started keeping a food journal?

Using this on line journal, I from day 1:

impeccably eliminated late night binges,

cut my calories in half,

drastically reduced my intake of oil and white flour,

cold turkey stopped my nemesis tortilla chips

and drastically reduced my peanut, peanut butter and soy milk intake.

I've been able to look back and notice what my diet lacked in previous days, emphasizing those things more.

 

I had success using a food journal on this forum a few years ago. It requires eating in a much more conscious way to keep a journal and, even if its unread, having it on line somehow makes it more of a commitment.

2 Advil for low right back

Assam w/cardamom, rice milk

 

Dinner

6 Finn crisp, 1 whole avocado, mustard

Dinner

1/4 lb gimme lean sausage, fried w/garlic in small ww pita, w/romaine lettuce, steamed spinach

Earl Grey w/coconut and rice milk

 

4 weeks down and holding steady, eating less than 1500 cals every day, eliminated binging, gorging, night eating, all from day 1.
