Hey, MV

Yes, soymilk is cooked. Do you like nutmilks? I love Brazil Nutmilk; but most any nut or seed (or combo!) is delicious. Mmmm...pistachio milk!

You can make oat milk (best cooked), banana milk, fruity milks are raw...They're all really easy.

Chest and Shoulder workout.

I tried an decline and incline bench press for the first time.

The decline was very awkward for me.

I still feel that I'm doing something wrong in my press.

I'll figure it out before next workout.

Posted nutmilk info for you in the recipes forum. (don't get overwhelmed, they are as simple as you stated above; I just like to be thorough )

By the way, remember we were talking a bit about getting huge? Did you see this in Dr. F.'s Blog? One more piece of confirmation about what Dr.F. teaches about the dangers of eating to "bulk" with all that fat/calories and protein stuffing. It strains the body and its organs, including the heart.

"In his book Eat to Live Dr. Fuhrman claims the training concept of “bulking up,” common among NFL lineman, jeopardizes players' long-term health. Steven Reinberg of HealthDay News reports on new research supporting that idea Dr. Fuhrman’s position:: Read it here

Thanks for the long recipe post.

I'm about 1/2 done with Dr. Fuhrman's book, it's great. I'll read his blog also.

I've already done enough to jeopardize my long term health.

42 years of the Standard American Diet.

I'll take what muscles I get with a good healthy diet

I've been slacking for the last few days.

My dad and uncles are retired and in town visiting.

A small family reunion.

I'm suprised how well the BBQs have been, everybody is supportive of my vegan lifestyle

But sadly everybody else eats the typical BBQ meals.

The saddest moment was when my 12 year old cousin was served her chicken.

She looked so happy, big eyes, big smile and clapping her hands together.

We walked Phipps Park Saturday morning.

I should have some incredible pictures in the next couple weeks.

We will be making a trip to the Beartooth Pass near Yellowstone Park

Saturday - July 02

I tried a Bench, Shoulder and Tricep workout yesterday.

It was horrible workout, I had trouble on the bench 20# less than my 1RM. Shaky arms, barely finished 2 reps.

I couldn't come close to completing the EAS Bench Program Workout so I gave up for the day.

I had been eating Vegan junk food for a couple days. I'll blame it on that.

We went on a trip and I didn't pack my normal good food.

I'll go at this workout again on Monday.

I'm back on fruits, veggies and Vega.

Sunday - July 03

Today was Back, Biceps and Forearms

Had a good workout

Tuesday - July 4th

Took today as a rest day. Maybe a bad idea.

I don't lift as much weight as most guys here.

But I routinely pick up 120# off the floor for my shrugs

Today a 20-30# carpet shampoo machine took me out.

It's a compact Rug Doctor, a little bigger than a vacuum cleaner.

I picked it up to take it out of my van, and OUCH!

My back is really sore right now, hopefully it won't last too long.

Right in the middle of the back along the spine.

Thursday - July 13

Today was Back, Biceps and Forearms

This nagging pain in my left forearm really peaked today.

I think I will need to take it easy for a while on anything involving the arms.

Hopefully it will get better soon, I'm already missing the weights.

I guess this will be a good time to shed some fat.

Nice one! That #1 is tough (for me at least ). You didn't bother with the trainer?

I wasn't sure which to get, #1 seemed like a good place to start.

Now I realize that the trainer was probably a better choice.

Maybe I'll order a trainer and put the #1 aside for a while.

That last little bit is really tough, even with the help of the other hand.

Someday I'll be able to pop open cans of spinach like Popeye
