I'm not a huge astrology follower but I'm typically pretty good at guessing water signs. Scorpio, in my opinion, is a great sign. I'm a Cancer and tend to mesh well with Scorpios and Pisces. I do tend to have conflicts with Capricorn and Gemini but, geez, I'm sure that has nothing to do with astrology. I guess I'm on the fence with regards to validity of astrology. It's amusing at least.

Yeah Topher,

I believe it a lot.

I'm very much a Leo - I love basking in the sun, I am very stubborn, got strong shoulders, I used to have a long, thick mane of hair There are lot's more characteristics that I don't have time to detail now.

Check out Chinese Astrology - I think it is even more accurate. I am a Snake.

Are Scorpio's meant to be bad Topher - first time I've heard that??

I don't know much about it, but the thought that a 12th of the population is like me, scary thought

I did see a program about astrology that said the world wobbles & we infact are going through (not sure if that's the right term?) 13 star constellations at the moment, what bearing that might have I have no idea?

I'd like to believe though, that fate isn't pre-destined, we aren't stuck by the date we're born, we can choose, to extent, our outlook & improve our personalities. Hopefully, it's free-will that dermines our lives, not outside cosmic forces we have no control over.

im a scorpio, does that make me bad?

I'm a scorpio too Topher and I don't think we're bad people, just don't get on our bad side. Also, scorpios are supposed to be the sexiest (or most over-sexed ) sign of the zodiac.

As for horoscopes, you can't take them seriously as they were not done for you specifically, ie a really accurate horoscope is supposed to be drawn up for you based on the location and at the time you were born. Most are generic and for entertainment purposes only (some times they'll be accurate and other times they won't).

Astrology I'm still on the fence about. I too like to believe I am in control of my decisions, but sometimes .......

Here's a little history about astrology by Wikipedia.

astrology, form of divination based on the theory that the movements of the celestial bodies—the stars, the planets, the sun, and the moon—influence human affairs and determine the course of events. Celestial phenomena have been the object of religious sentiment since earliest times (see moon worship; sun worship). The Chaldaeans and the Assyrians were the first to discard their sky gods in favor of a nondeistic system of divination founded upon astronomy and numerology. They saw the heavenly bodies as exerting an influence upon the lives of individuals and the destinies of empires. Generally, future events were believed determined beforehand by a universal order that was a result of the motions of the planets and stars. The practices of astrology spread throughout the ancient Middle East, Asia, and Europe, but with the rise of Christianity, which emphasized divine intervention and free will, interest in astrology subsided, although astrologers continued to flourish. During the European Renaissance astrology as a form of divination regained popularity, due in part to the rekindled interest in science and astronomy. The European astrologer, considered a scholar exploring the mysteries of the universe through science and reason, was held in high esteem in the community for many years. However, in the 16th and 17th cent., Christian theologists waged war against astrology. In 1585 astrology was officially condemned in a bull of Pope Sixtus V, and in 1631, Pope Urban VIII reinforced this with another bull. At the same time the astronomical work of such men as Copernicus, Tycho Brahe, Kepler, and Galileo was undermining the tenets of astrology. Astrology, however, continued to be practiced. All of the aforementioned scientists remained practicing astrologers, as did other great thinkers such as Descartes and Newton; moreover, Copernican theory did not find sudden and widespread acceptance. Gradually, however, astrology declined, although this form of divination is still very much alive. One's horoscope is a map of the heavens at the time of one's birth, showing the position of the heavenly bodies in relation to the 12 “houses” or signs through which they pass (see zodiac) and their positions in relation to each other. Each house has as its “lord” one of the heavenly bodies; the one in the “ascendant” is the one of greatest significance to the inquirer, supposedly endowing him with his temperamental qualities, his tendencies to particular diseases, and his liability to certain fortunes or calamities.

Here's a link on whether it is valid or not: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Validity_of_astrology

What?

People with fixed signs are usually stubborn and cynical (Yes, Scorpio is also a fixed sign ). I was asking between you and jonathan, which one was a Taurus and which one was an Aquarius. However, I am revising to read, "Hmmm.. 2 Aquareans," as both of you have more Aquarean characteristics.

Sun in Aquarius

Keywords: Stubborn, Societal, Mental poise, Opinionated, Unconventional, Musical, Rebellious

Please tell me if I'm wrong.

I am Pisces. How is my opinion of the Zodiac more stubborn than anyone elses? I will believe in it if I have proof that it is real. If there was proof of it and I still said I didn't believe in it, then that'd be stubborn. As it is, I've never been shown anything convincing.

The words 'Stubborn, Societal, Mental poise, Opinionated, Unconventional, Musical, Rebellious' are all pretty ambigious.

I am determined and strong-headed, some might say that's stubborn. But likewise, I am reasonable and logical, and I'd listen to anyone's point of view, and I often change my opinion when given reason to.

I have opinions on things, some might say that makes me opinionated. Some of my opinions are stronger than others, but everyone has a few subjects they're passionate about.

There are some conventions that I don't follow, some people might say that makes me unconventional. Then there are also many conventions that I do follow. I am not deliberately unconventional about everything, some conventions are logical, some aren't.

I play some instruments, some people would say that makes me musical. But I dislike almost all music, it mainly irritates me.

I rebel against things which seem wrong, some might say that makes me rebellious. But I don't rebel against everything for the sake of it. I am very obedient when I see a good reason to be, or if my orders are reasonable.

I don't know how the words 'societal' or 'mental poise' are being used.

I am not saying the Zodiac is a load of nonsense. I am saying that at this moment I have no reason personally to believe in it. It may well all be true.

OK little ninja, nothing seriously said here. No need to get upset as I was just funning with you guys. To set your mind at ease, I don't think that any of the descriptions were bad, just strength in your beliefs and ability to be tenacious about it. I also think that "societal" means you care about people and "mental poise" is the ability to think on your feet.

So Pisces is your sun sign huh ? Maybe Aquarius is your moon sign ? (Note my stubborness with theory.)
