veganmadre Posted September 10, 2005 Share Posted September 10, 2005 Eeewy and Gooey Swirls of Goodness. http://img375.imageshack.us/img375/5645/rolls0bk.jpg Dough Ingredients:1 1/4 cups warm water2 tsp yeast3 tbsp dry sweetener3 cups flour1 tsp salt Also:Approx. 3 tbsp room temp. margarine1 cup dry sweetener mixed with 1 - 2 tbsp cinnamon Also:1/2 stick margarine1/4 cup brown sugar2 tbsp corn syrup In a large mixing bowl - combine water, yeast and sweetener. Allow to active - approx 10 minutes. Add flour and salt and mix until dough forms. Knead dough for roughly 5 minutes. On a flat, lightly floured surface, Roll dough out until it is about the size of a cookie sheet (see pic.) http://img354.imageshack.us/img354/8452/cinnabon26fn.jpg Spread room temp margarine over entire square of dough - completely, yet lightly, coating. Evenly distribute cinnamon sugar mixture over margarine. (see pic) http://img354.imageshack.us/img354/5927/cinnabon40ay.jpg Roll dough towards you to create a spiral loaf. (see pic) http://img381.imageshack.us/img381/3589/cinnabon60fg.jpg Heat 1/2 stick of margarine, 1/4 brown sugar and 2 tbsp corn syrup over medium heat until all are melted - they will Not Completely Blend. Add this mixture -tbsp by tbsp to a muffin pan (see pic) http://img381.imageshack.us/img381/5425/cinnabon33ll.jpg Place dough slices in muffin tin. (see picture) http://img381.imageshack.us/img381/3769/cinnabon78zi.jpg Cover with a cloth and let rise for 2 hours. The rolls will double in size. (see pic) http://img381.imageshack.us/img381/6922/cinnabon80pr.jpg Preheat oven to 350 and bake rolls for approx. 20 minutes - until edges brown. While cooking, prepare icing: Icing Ingredients:8 oz powdered sugar (1/2 of a 1lb box)1/8 cup soymilk1/2 tsp vanilla1/2 stick of softened margarine Combine all ingredients. Icing should be THICK. THe hot cinnamon rolls will melt it to gooey perfection! Remove rolls from the oven and promptly scoop icing on top...spread evenly and eat sparingly - THESE ARE SINFULLY BAD! And, yes, there is a direct correlation between the goodness of these cinnabons and their unhealthiness. Unfortunately, if you find them not good, they will not be not unhealthy.
