  1. i actually thought fasting would help giving a break to our bodies... but now i'm not so sure anymore... anyways.. i don't really know why i was trying to accomplish such a thing.... i think it was mostly because i wanted to try something and not so many people are able to do, and achieve it, than getting healthier...( by the way....i'm already a vegan who avoids a lots of processed stuff ) anyways... thanks for the advices... next time i'll try juice fasting.... ps: i know i haven't introduced myself yet, but i'll do that when i have more time...
  2. hello everyone...... So, i'd like to know if there's anything i can do to make fasting any easier? Something i have to do before i start water fasting.....( or even after as well ) Because i've been trying to water-fast several times, and everytime i feel sick by the end of the first day, really tired, and by the second day i desperately go to the kitchen, and i eat eat eat... till i'm full.... so... what do u guys do before going to waterfasting? i wanted to be able to do it for at least 3 days... but it seems so hard...

  4. i take a walk....go swimming or sauna, hang out with friends... eat ( it's sad, but it happens... ).... go surfing in the web....

  6. when i have time i'm gonna try to make a more ''healthy'' version from that... maybe change the sugar for some other thing sweetner.. and so on...
  7. the sugar may vary, of course, it's just sugar, some people like a lot, some people put very little.... about the saturated fats, i did some research on the subject, and the saturated fat from things like coconut are well digested ( coconut is good for a lots of other things llike being anti-viral among other things...), unlike from meat and other things in the same group. and the colorant, is not necessary, it's optional. anyways.. too bad nobody liked... i thought everybody was going to try making it... lol.. i don't even know how much sugar is needed, because i have a friend who is indonesian and he makes it himself, i just got the recipe from him... oh well...
  8. Ok, the following is a really tasty beverage made by the javanese people, and it has coconut milk.. ( good for those trying to add some healthy fat to their diet... ) I hope the following ingredients are not hard to find... as you can see it's basically vegan... except for the sugar that you might want to look for a vegan version as well as the red colorant that you might also want to look for a vegan version.. ( but that doesn't really matter,cuz it's only gonna change the color anyways.. no big deal ) --- -perfect for vegan events. or just drinking by yourself.. ---------------- Ingredients * 16 oz. coconut milk. * 16 oz. Sugar. * 16 oz. water. * Maizena, agar agar or holy basil seeds. * 1 thee spoon salt. * Cola essence or lemongrass. * FDC red nr 5. ( vegan version, preferably ) Directions 1. Mix the Sugar and water and boil for 15 minutes. Keep mixing during this time. 2. Add the required syrup to the coconut milk and the cola essence (or lemon grass). 3. Add salt and ice cubes. 4. Make a solution of maizena and add this to 16 oz. water, boil to a very thick porridge and seive directly into a pot with cold water. 5. Introduce these pieces in the dawet. 6. Keep always mixing to avoid the coconut milk from separating. 7. Serve ice cold!
