I think it is worth thinking about. Some raw food experts preach the about bee pollen and honey as important superfoods, which puts you are least on the edge when it comes to vegan ideals, if not crossing the line. I personally started eating honey again after being raw for 3 months, then stopped ag...

This is definately getting into an area you don't want to go from your last post, but my roommate dehydrates the almond pulp, grinds it into flour, and then makes raw almond biscotti out of it.

I wish some of the other foods like dandelions, lamb's quarter and plantains had such ardent supporters and so many sites that list the benefits of every little thing. They are pretty good with a natural sweetener too, like fruit. Thanks for the information everyone, I personally do not eat any choc...

I have not been on in a while (obviously) but how are things going?

I can not do OJ personally, I also get a sore throat, I think it is all the citrus. Mango is about as "citrus" I typically eat.

My main problem so far is lack of savoury foods that I want to eat. I am eating some raw peanuts and I will get some raw cashews, but my goal is to lose fat so I don't want to eat lots of those. Other than that, it's really just carrots and celery that are anywhere near savoury, but I don't like th...

Personally I think hybrids are pretty much the same thing. Its just a slower process with a smaller number of alterations that can be made. Unless its accidental and done in nature its not all that natural. Its like people having kids together just to have a smart child or an athlete...you can do i...

I hear you about life getting very busy. I have been very busy myself with my new job, cycling, travelling for business and working on my house. This is a great board and the only one I go to now because of my limited time. How has the weather been out there in Portland? I don't watch tv so I reall...

I thought seedless was created by cross breeding, not genetic modifications, which creates a sterile offspring like a mule.

Re: The Thrive Diet

I just finished reading Brendan Brazier's new book: The Thrive Diet and loved it! Now I understand why I wasn't building the strength, endurance, and weight loss I wanted - plus many other things. Has anyone else read this book? Not the original Thrive, but the new one with all the recipes? I will ...

Oregonisaac. what have you been up to? I have not seen you on the boards lately. I am happy to see you are still raw and that it is working for you. Work, life, love, the usual. I think I got sick of blogging my food all the time, became a chore, and just quit going online for this stuff for a whil...

eek! Your ideal balanced raw vegan diet should really be 50-ish% fruits 40% greens/sprouts and the rest nuts/seeds/dehydrated foods.. less than 10% of your daily intake. I would say slow way down on the nut intake... you can really mess your digestive system up! Fresh IS best. Wow, it has been 4 mo...
