Re: Ovarian Cysts

I am wondering how things turned out too. I had a large one that wouldn't stop growing. I was told it wouldn't be cancerous since I was too young (25), but it was. It was a mature teratoma with muscle tissue that turned into a muscle tissue cancer. Of course, that is rare. Hopefully yours was much s...

Re: What do you think about Keto Diet ?

By the way, Whole Kernel Extra Virgin Coconut Oil is the food of the gods. It feels like liquid silk and tastes like fresh coconut macaroons. You gotta lick the spoon. http://www.drbronner.com/DBMS/FPCOWHOLE14/FairTradeOrganicWholeVirginCoconutOil.htm What does "Whole Kernel" mean? Is it ...

Re: Hair loss!

Have you had your thyroid tested? Hair loss and menstural irregularity are both symptoms of thyroid malfunction.

Re: Anybody here outdoorsy?

Wow, how cool to see a mountain lion! A friend and I visited Olympic National Park last summer and wanted to see one so bad that we had ourselves "seeing" them everywhere. Two marmots sunbathing together, a deer, etc...

Re: How do I calculate what to eat?

You can use a site like MyPlate on Livestorong.com to track you food and it will tell you how many calories, how much protein, how many carbs, etc.

Re: what do you eat for treats? HELP

And you can make your own shake as a replacement for your ice cream :) Oh yeah, an awesome ice cream replacement that is actually pretty healthy is to blend a frozen bananna with a tablespoon or so of cocoa powder, two tablespoons peanut butter, and some almond or coconut milk. Tastes just like a m...

Re: what do you eat for treats? HELP

When nothing will work but ice cream, coconut milk ice cream is awesome, just as good if not better than the real stuff. Alternative Baking Company makes an awesome vegan cookie too. Neither are particular healthy because they stil have sugar of some form, but if you need a vegan treat they are grea...

I never really thought about when you take it mattering. I just put a teaspoon of it in my morning smoothie. Maybe I will have to experiment with taking it after a workout.

Re: Anybody here outdoorsy?

As for hot showers and clean sheets, I'm fine without them. Have lived outdoors for months at a time and never showered, just dipped in some creek, river, lake or ocean every day. I'm just as likely to sleep on the ground under the stars as to bother with a tent. My favorite was in New Mexico a cou...

Lisa, that is awesome! Mt. Hood is so amazing; I'll be up there, myself, all summer, bagging the rest of the trails that connect to Timberline Trail. It's the closest place that offers above-treeline views and actual geothermal activity. I'll be scoping out fumeroles as I hike. http://en.wikipedia....

Re: Which type of protein powder do you use?

I personally see no reason to go for hemp protein unless you want variety. If you want a very complete powder, go for gemma, if you eat a diet high in beans, rice protein will complement your diet very well. 50% pea/50% rice would be a good start, and it's cheaper than if you included hemp. I would...
