How to cook prepackaged seitan?

Hey all, I currently live in Michigan where we have a local company called Mama Mo which specializes in homemade seitan and hummus. I buy my seitan from both this company and the prepackaged chicken-style seitan from Nasoya, and both companies store their seitan in liquid just like how prepackaged t...

Re: My clean bulk - critique would be highly appreciated

Whoops sorry, didn't make it apparent. In my last meal I either have tempeh or seitan, the 83g is for the former and the 90g is for the latter. How long can boiled/stir-fried vegetables last in the fridge? I think my biggest issue is that I'm unsure how to prepare vegetables ahead of time unlike the...

Re: My clean bulk - critique would be highly appreciated

I definitely do NOT have the patience to bake bagels on a normal basis, hahaha. I actually buy them frozen at a local Whole Foods - they are MIRACLE breakfast foods with their macronutrient ratio and easy preparation. The company that makes them is called French Meadow Bakery: http://www.frenchmeado...

Re: Greetings from Michigan, US

It's Michigan... we ALWAYS have cold air, hahaha. Luckily I moved up here because I like the cold in the first place. Anyway, I totally understand your dilemma. I always eat healthy, but the problem comes from the fact that things that are easier to eat will almost always be eaten in higher proporti...

Re: Greetings from Michigan, US

Michigander here too! Welcome to the forum - your goals are definitely possible with smart eating and training. I had the same problem with finding time to eat healthy food since I'm a college student and work at the same time - it's possible, you just need to start getting in the habit of buying tu...

My clean bulk - critique would be highly appreciated

Hey guys, I'm attempting a (general) clean bulk for the next few months and was wondering if people could critique my diet. I've never done a clean bulk before, let alone while I've been vegan, so I'm sure it needs more work. Current Stats: Weight: 198 lbs Bodyfat Percentage: 8-9% Goal: 212-215 lbs ...

Re: New and highly enthusiastic.

Hey! Sorry about no response for so long, I haven't stopped training or lifting but my buddy who I took pictures with was gone for the summer and I was pretty busy working, thus no time and help to take model photos/bodyfat percentages. Now that my semester's in full swing and my lifting partner is ...

Re: size loss when switching to vegan?

I gained 6 additional pounds on my bulk switching to veganism. If you're already 99% vegan, I doubt switching out your protein powder will make a very noticeable difference in your physique (other than how much food you're eating).

Re: What rep schemes have you had success in progressing?

Going heavier definitely has helped me gain mass, as well. For isolation exercises I go for 10-15 reps rather than 8-10 due to their inherent nature of improving definition, and I like doing higher reps for definition work.

What rep schemes have you had success in progressing?

So for building mass, I've often stuck with a 3x10 rep scheme where I pick one weight and attempt to do it for 3 sets, 10 reps. If I fail, I attempt it again next week, and if I succeed, I up the weight and drop down to 3x8, then 3x10, and so on and so forth increasing the weight I'm using. I made a...

Re: Nitric Oxide (NO) supplements vegan? Anyone take this st

I haven't used NO Explode since I went vegan so I'm unsure of whether or not it is vegan, but I was definitely impressed with it. I got a great pump and felt very energized throughout the workout. I also didn't crash but honestly I generally never crash after a PWO so I'm unsure if anyone else may o...

Re: Having trouble gaining. HELP

Same as above. When I first started lifting, I used the standard muscle split day-by-day (chest monday, shoulders thursday, etc etc). However my results from this were poor to say the least. I switched to a full body routine that placed more focus on pushing/pulling and lower/upper body rather than ...
