Re: high protein
Is there a particular reason you are avoiding soy or seitan? Legumes have a decent amount of protein, although not as much as soy or seitan. They also pack a lot of other nutrients though.

Re: high protein
Protein powder
beans/legumes
peas
quinoa
pumpkin seeds
Although I would definitely consider keeping edamame, tempeh, and tofu in your diet. They are good sources of protein, calcium, and iron, and are minimally processed.

Re: high protein
Leave out the tofu and you will still have 30g protein. Keep it in and you have 50g and 600 calories.....

Re: high protein
I'm not vegan, but I'm really interested in the subject because I wanna replace some foods from my diet. What kind of protein sources do you use in order to build muscle (except soy and other beans)?
For the lady who asked why not soy, that's because it's been proven that soy increases the level of progesterone, which is a female hormone. That's man who want to build muscle needs to avoid that.

Re: high protein
