Was just at Robert Morris Beach and it was beautiful. Was at Brighten beach a couple weeks ago with Robert and it was also nice but too many people leaving plastic bags and other trash around. Here is something positive if you live in the area. You can volunteer through NYcares to do a million different things. I've taught kids acting classes, walked shelter dogs, and helped feed the homeless. Here is a video that the news just covered about volunteers helping clean up the beaches, it made me happy: http://statenisland.ny1.com/content/top_stories/165679/parks-department--volunteers-clean-up-s-i--beach?ap=1&MP4&sf5311780=1 -Dylan

Looking to possibly move to Albuquerque, anyone from the area? How is it? I traveled through there and noticed it was fairly vegan friendly, as well as a nice place. I'm looking for a nice sunny temperate climate with low cost of living, near a few good colleges for school, eventually.

NYC Vegans, I'm going to be in Manhattan next weekend. I'd love to finally meet those from the area. I'm moving to Manhattan permanently in two weeks; it would be wonderful to already know a few vegan fitness lovers. Anyone available July 22 through 24? ** I also plan to workout while I'm there if anyone is interested ** Message me and I'll get back to you with my cell number. Looking forward to it! Dax

Hi All lovely ppl, i was brought up not to eat meat and now as an adult I see the harm animal exploitation causes and am very thankful for my upbringing.. I have competed in a sports model comp once and my trainer/dieticion was very enthusiastic that i add animal proteins to my diet the whole time and blammed most obstacles on my not eating them... which grinded on my nerves.. so i would love to get in touch with other people in Australia... or Qld who compete and are gym junkies and are researching veg nutrition as I have decided to do.. so that i can broaden my perspective and learn as much as I can If any one is on the gc that would be sweet!

I'm moving to Philadelphia very soon and I am looking for a good weight training gym. I will be living in Germantown, I love the 12th street gym in center city but it's not practical for me, I need some place close to Germantown or Mt Airy. I've also checked out Fitlife which is not bad but not the perfect choice, although it might wind up being the most practical. Thanks in advance
