Hi guys and gals, New vegan here, and struggling to find a protein powder that tastes good mixed simply in almond or coconut milk. I have some Raw Meal and another vegan powder at home, but they are un-drinkable unless combined with frozen fruit, powdered PB, coconut milk, and all mixed up with a blender. Taking suggestions... Thanks

Hi everyone, I'm new here and I was actually a canyon girl who spent the last 23 years off the grid in the New Mexican wilderness Just thought it would be fun to share a new recipe/video I made for the vegan community! 4 cups warm water 1 tablespoon dry yeast 2 or 3 tablespoons of sweetener 1 1/2 tablespoons salt 5 cups unbleached flour 2 cups whole wheat flour 1/2 cup vital wheat gluten extra flour or cornmeal as needed coconut milk or ground flax seed mixed with water for binding topping sesame seed seaweed mix for topping. My video descibes how to make the dough, prepare the bagels for the oven, and bake the bagels. Hope you find it useful! -Elka

Toasted English muffin, peanut butter on both sides and marmalade between. Had this at a coffee hour and really liked it, so bought some thick rind Robinson's marmalade.

While I really enjoy the food i make and so does my boyfriend and family, I hate cooking for guests because i am always afraid they won't like the food. I want to make a list of 10 things to make for meat eating/non-vegan guests. What are some meals you have served to meat eating friends and they liked?

So I made a soup the other day...a purée of sweet potatoes, onions, carrots and garlic. It was ok so I spiced it up with some curry seasoning and man it was almost like curry without the chunks of potatoes, carrots and onions. I thought with a little tinkering this could be a perfect curry base without having to add flour to thicken. In the pot goes: 1 sweet potato sans skin cut into 1" slices 2 large carrots chopped into small pieces 1 apple chopped 1 med onion chopped 1 cup dry lentils Enough water to cover and bring to boil. While waiting to boil add: 1 tbsp coconut oil 1 tbsp earth balance 1 tbsp minced ginger 4-5 cloves garlic 1 bay leaf 1.5 tsp salt 2 -3 tsp gara…

I am a new began and am a self employed builder. Here in the UK vegan choices in cafes or just eating out in general are pretty much non existent. I need to eat away from home minimum 5 times a week so i am going to start taking my own foods. This is somthing i will more than likely be doing for the rest of my life so keeping things interesting but simple is key, might also be worth mentioning at this point that it's rate i have access to anything that would re heart food so i am looking for mainly recipes that can be eaten cold so with this in mind my question is what kind of foods do people tend to make for packed lunch? How do you go about your meal preping for the w…

This may sound like a silly question. I am trying to get enough protein in my diet as naturally as possible by eating nuts and seeds, however I know that these are also loaded with fat which is preventing me from losing belly fat. Does anyone know of any great protein recipes that won't stop me from losing fat? I am willing to buy a powder as long as it's not loaded with sugar and chemicals.

The best things in life are simple... I made this for vegan Thanksgiving, and I received compliments. 1 medium-sized Squash (whichever you like, I used Acorn squash). Cut the skin off the squash and bake the chunks until soft. Approx. 350 for 20 mins. 1 large Sweet Potato. I kept the skin on, and in a small skillet, cooked it slowly (with a bit of water, so nothing burned), until soft. Mash the 2 in a bowl and while warm, mix some Earth Balance "butter", cinnamon, a little nutmeg and maple syrup. I don't put measurements because it depends what you like! Omit or add things, or just mix to taste. Enjoy!
