Did a lot of walking and a little lake swimming at the Midwest Reggae Fest this weekend. On Saturday I did 15x6 (90!) push ups, which was not hard, spaced over 5 hours. I sure wanted a massage that night though.

 

Today I returned to gym after 4 days off.

 

15 push ups

Hammer Strength Crunch machine 110x19

15 push ups

crunch 105x15

recumbent bike 30 mins

15 push ups

crunch 100x20

14 push ups

15 mins bike

15 push ups

Got together with a couple of chums from college. (KSU) Rode hard for 2 hours on a fairly flat asphalt bike path through the Metroparks. It was sweltering hot until a 10 minute downpour 20 minutes before the end. It was a totally glorious trip.

I changed my gym routine.

 

20 push ups

Hammer Strength Crunch machine 105x20

20 mins recumbent bike

15 push ups

quick leg stretch

crunch 105x18

simultaneous dumb bell curls turned over to a reverse curl on the way down 30x13,9

flat bench flyes, slow and wide 25x15,15

crunch 105x15

elliptical trainer 20 mins

10 push ups

crunch 105x15

I was feeling weak and had my girl with me, so it was a short session.

The low cal diet has left me a little low energy, including for work outs.

Also, I emptied a ton of food from our van earlier, a major back workout especially.

Woa, four days is too long to skip gym.

 

quick leg stretches (forward bend, achilles stretch, ham stretch)

20 mins elliptical

110x18 HS crunch trying for perfect form, pausing at the top

15 push ups

105x15 crunch

35x11,8 simultaneous dumb bell curls w/reverse on slowed downward

35sx11,8 flat bench fliers struggled for width

30sx8,8 Arnold press struggled for full extensions on left

20 mins elliptical

 

I also stacked, hand-carted and restacked a thousand pounds of dry beans and a thousand pounds of rice today.

My girl and I went to the gym for a short session today. She likes walking the treadmill and a few machines, including the Hammer Strength crunches I love.
