Guest
I read the other post on here that there are over 50K 100+ folks in the US today. I read on another random post somewhere that none of them are vegetarian. I know Vegan was not coined until the 40's so that kinda makes sense I suppose, but I figured surely there are some that have since converted right? Dr. Pink
Betty White seems to be the closest that I know so far. She is Vegan and pretty damn old. Hell look at Golden Girls and that's an old show. She was born in 1922 which is well before the 40's. I can't really think of any older Vegan's then her.
Jay
Scott Nearing was a vegan who lived to 100. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scott_NearingIt says vegetarian there but I read the book and he was vegan. Or at least very near vegan; like 99.9% of calories were vegan. At 100 he finally decided to just stop eating and then died.
Katabatic
Not 100, but the guy who invented the word Vegan lived to 95. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Donald_Watson
