Jessifly
I don't have a specific question, just wondering what opinions are here on mangosteen...
robert
I think it is a good "fruit" but packaged in some sort of marketing ways that feels like a "scam" which is too bad, because I think it is a good fruit. A lot of exotic or super foods fall into this unfortunately. All of a sudden these exotic foods that are pretty good for us, just like common foods such as oranges and blueberries, become "must haves" and we "must pay a lot for them and tell all our friends" etc. That is just how I see it and like I said, it's too bad, since most are just good food sources for nutrition. Mangosteen often falls into that category as well.
Marcina
Yeah, I'll stick with the locally grown berries. They're just as powerful, but I don't have to pay a fortune for them.
Gyre
I would agree with you Robert. Buy organic local!
offense74
They're hard to find in good shape so I usually steer clear. I buy them sometimes though. I don't think they're exceptionally healthy though. Apples are just as good I think.
