michaelhobson
My two favorite Asheville restaurants on video! Hooray! If you aren't familiar with Asheville, keep in mind while watching these videos that it is a small mountain city of only 140,000 people. The nachos rocked our world, but Rosetta's rocks in more ways than just food. The Traveling Vegetarian - Asheville, NC - Rosetta's Kitchen The Laughing Seed is the classic full service vegetarian restaurant, they could only improve by going fully vegan. Zack
Still say this should be a gathering place. I passed through there in 2007, need to spend more time there.
robert
It has been on the ballot for a Vegan Vacation destination every year I think Finding a capable organizer is the hardest part, so we always end up in Portland where a group of us have put things on. I've never been there but would like to check it out sometime. I like mountain towns
michaelhobson
Still say this should be a gathering place. I passed through there in 2007, need to spend more time there. Plan it and they will come! We're only 7 hours away, we'd be up for any excuse to make the trip again. Slippery rock is just a short drive out of town too
Annie01
Oh I LOVE ashville! I went to college not too far from it, in Winston-Salem, and always looked forward to my trips up there. So scenic, and the people are so nice!
robert
Yeah, totally. Anyone can organize any event anytime. Just for. V.V. when we have people coming from all parts of the world we put more time and energy into it to make it worthwhile to travel that far....but regional meet-ups are great! We do them often in Portland, every few weeks, and sometimes daily or weekly since a bunch of us live near each other. Anyway, plan something wherever you are and hopefully good things will come from it. For example, a bunch of us are meeting up in D.C. in less than 2 weeks
Jessifly
If we are going to have VV somewhere besides Portland next year, Asheville has my vote!

Zack
I am fairly close to asheville, so if there is a good group of interest I can work on it. Great rock climbing around here jessi.
Harley
I am moving to Wilmington NC very soon. I don't think it is too far from asheville so i would definitely be able to help with organizing anything.
Amy
Asheville is close to some of my family. I have been thinking a lot lately about moving there. I would definitely go to a VV if it was held in Asheville.
