Vegetarian from Austin

Hey, I am Nik and I am 19. I have been working out for the last 2 years. I have been a vegetarian all my life, and was a skinny athlete up until the point I started working out. I started working out with a lot of my time on my hands, and there was some definite over training going on(for a 6 month period I was going to the gym 13-14 times a week), but the results came fast(with some stretch marks of course). I have been maintaining since I got to college and I currently attend UT Austin where I am a sophomore. Despite my pictures, I really don't have abs( though I do appreciate good lighting.) I am having a hard time losing body fat since I have played soccer all my life and my body has never been in a period where I was taking in a large amount of calories along with fat, so my body is accustomed to a rather low fat/low calorie diet. Despite having periods where I ran 2 miles everyday for about 4-5 months, I still haven't been able to get ab definition without good lighting.

Just looking to talk about working out and dieting with people who I don't have to explain to them that "Yes, I am a vegetarian. Yes I work out. And Yes I see results."

Thanks!

Here are a few pics I took today:

Thanks everyone!

Welcome! Great intro!

I also love soccer and I want to visit Austin, TX sometime! Please tell me more about it. I've heard wonderful things.

P.S. GREAT biceps!!!!!!!!

Yeah Austin is a bit weird to say the least. Though during the school year, we stay in our little campus bubble+sixth street. I think Leslie sums up Austin pretty succinctly, a homeless cross dresser who ran for mayor got 8% of the vote. It is definitely an experience, though I have mainly limited it to friday nights/saturday mornings in dorm rooms.

But yeah, I think my biceps and triceps are my strongest muscle groups. When I was going 2x a day, I really got into my biceps because I was seeing some pretty ridiculous amounts of growth in that area, but as soon as that growth tapered off, triceps gave me a second wind. For a time, I was doing a huge amount of pullups post workout, and was very close to the much allusive one handed pull up.
