I've been scouring the internet for yummy green smoothie recipes. Would love some tasty ideas for Kale.

Here is one I made today that turned out really really good!

2 - 3 cups spinach

Appx 10 slices cucumber slices

2 miniature organic apples

Large handful green grapes

1/2 small banana

2 tsp flax seed oil

2 - 3 Tbsp Soy Creamer

Ice

Of course you can omit the soy creamer and it will still taste really good.

This was superb! So light and refreshing. I find that I don't like avocado and bananas mixed together because it makes my smoothies too thick.

What about you? Post some of your favorites.

This is my favorite..and its really easy.

2 sticks celery

2 kiwis

1 large mug of fresh spinach leaves

1 carrot

Juice of 3 oranges or mandarins

and a bit of espirulina!

I liquidize the celery and carrots

juice the oranges

then blend in the kiwis, espirulina and spinach

*If it's too thick add another orange!!!

For someone who hasnt tried smoothies before use 1/2 cup of spinach leaves and 1 stick of celery and all the other ingredients the same...only you should liquidize the spinach and not blend it in. Llike this you can only really taste the orange juice. I use this "light" smothie for my 11 year old daughter and she loves it!! The otherone looks like pureed frog-spawn or something and although it tastes really nice she gets a bit freaked out with the way it looks!!!

A smoothie I take before training is really delicious..although its not green!! I just blend 2 bananas into 1/2 pint of soya milk with my vitamin B tab and a bit of espirulina.

Ok..so this is a smoothie for beginners! Even my daughter loves this and we all know what kids are like!

Ingredients:

Juice 3 oranges

2 peeled kiwis

2 cups of spinach

Now blend it all together..if you are doing it for first time smoothie drinkers you could add less spinach. I also add some spirulina

1 Avocado

2 Carrots (may need chopping somewhat if your blender's blade isn't particularly strong)

Half a Cucumber

2 teaspoons of Wheatgrass powder

2 teaspoons of Spirulina powder

Chuck in a blender and add water (either 1/2 full or 3/4)

Takes no time at all

I would never put Chuck Norris in my blender. That wouild get expensive real fast.

I was just about to start a thread like this and then yay, there already is one!

This is my favorite, so simple an so yummy:

2 pears

1 banana

about 1/2 a bag of baby spinach

hemp protein (optional)

water & ice

Also:

watermelon or honeydew

romaine lettuce

water & ice

(I don't measure, just fill up my blender)

=SOOO refreshing!

I still haven't found a green smoothie to top this one...

one bunch of curly parsley and two mangoes... blended with enough water to preferred consistency.. mmmmm...

I LOVE this one too Jessifly... great for "that time of month" bloated tummy feeling because of the parsley.

Does anyone know what green would go best with raw cacao powder... I am trying to think up a chocolaty green smoothie recipe???
