Is it bad to mix different powders in one shake?

I wouldn't mix them in them same shake.

The Creatine I have, tells you on the label that if you take it with protein, then it won't be absorbed etc.

Can't seem to find an article on why this is the case.

Probably best to have Creatine, then wait a while to and have the protein shake.

I'm sure others have some ideas about this....

I've never heard that and can't find anything anything with a quick google search to back that up. Go ahead and mix them, that's pretty much how everyone takes them.

If there's some information that it's bad, please post.

I second that. The most effective time to take creatine and protein powder are POST WORKOUT. Take them together like everyone else and they should work well. In fact there has been suggestions that creatine may help with protein synthesis and by having a steady stream of quickly digested aminos around from the powder you will probably be getting the most bang for your buck.

You need to look for optimum digestion, for superior health results. Creatine absorption to the body is increased when ingested with simple carbs, no proteins : like in fruit juice. Pre-workout, while workout and post-workout. Therefore you continously fuel your muscles with the energy it needs. If you absolutly want proteins with the creatine drink, you can add amino acids powder instead. Then, the meals earlier during the day and 30 minutes post-effort can be protein meals.

Also, it is preferable to avoid mixing many different protein sources at the same time, because each kind of protein requires a precise timing in stomach. It is better to use different proteins at different meals. But it is ok to mix proteins of the same kind, like nuts with other nuts.
