VeganDeVil
Healthy perhaps, but with the amount of almond butter I use...... I'd still say it's 'comforty'!! Actually, there is a Vegan restaurant around the corner from me that serves a pancake and 'fried chicken' plate..... I hardly ever have it (HELLO thunder thighs! ), but perhaps that's my favorite bad-for-me meal.
zinzen
My wife makes this kung pao seitan, man is it delish, its still good for me, but it always stops the world when I am eating it.Oh and of course there is rice dream in any flavour
Dr. Pink
For me. It has to be. A whole half-Gallon of Soymilk. Toss in freezer until it's just a bit icy, shack it up and guzzle the hell out of it. Mmmm. Most def not healthy .
VeganDeVil
mmmm..... I love soymilk too..... 'specially vanilla soymilk! kung pao seitan sounds pretty rad, too!
Dr. Pink
Vanilla is my Favorite too. Which version? I used to drink Regular Vanilla( Silk Vanilla ). But ever since I tried Very Vanilla( Also from Silk ) I find the taste of regular Vanilla to be mediocre in comparison. So much so that I can't stand to drink anything but Very Vanilla( Not even chocolate beats it ).
VeganDeVil
I KNOW! That 'very vanilla' stuff is dangerous! I try not to buy it very often 'cause I'll drink the whole thing in like two days!
Dr. Pink
I can go through two in 5 minutes.
Lena01
I usually have breakfast with an oatmeal: oats, soymilk, tahini, flaxseed and a sliced banana. I only eat one in the morning but when I'm comfort eating I can go through 4 in one day. Clif Bars...omg! Dried cherries, and cashews EDIT: The other day I had my first vegan ice crean: Mint fudge So Good + ginger cookies. yummmmmm. Shame it was cold here and I ended up shivering. I just ate a hot oatmeal afterwards...

veganmomma
Soy yogurt. I eat the whole container at one sitting. I think the container is 24 or 32 ounces. A whole pack of sliced peppered tofurky. I don't make sandwiches because I hate bread.
VegannNY
Oooohh, the banana and raw nut butter sandwich actually sounds really good! Guess some of my main comfort foods would be knishes, the veggie pizza slice down the block, a pint of Buddhist Delight Chinese Food, or a few rolls of good veggie sushi, made crunchy with spicy sauce. (Runners up would include whole wheat spaghetti, vegan ice cream, hot oat bran cereal, mac and chreeze, dried dates, bananas rolled in raw carob powder, a Sweet n Sara Mallomar, or caramel popcorn. Vegan gummy bears would be nice, too!)
VeganDeVil
spaghetti! YES! I don't ever have it (trying to drop pounds is so lame), but spaghetti is the shiznit. And I'll second the hot dog answer---I can never have just one! Another dangerous thing for me to buy..... Mmmm, especially with the Ezekiel hot dog buns! veganmomma
I don't make sandwiches because I hate bread. How I envy you, veganmomma! I dream about bread. I don't like bread in any form except whole wheat pita. I love whole wheat pita bread, but I stay away from it because if I buy a bag I'll eat the entire bag at once. There's a grocery store in my hood that sells bags of HUGE loaves that are bigger than a plate. That's way too many carbs so I don't buy any. Dr. Pink
^ What About Tortillas? That's a form of Bread. A burrito is like a Mexican sandwich.
veganmomma
^ What About Tortillas? That's a form of Bread. A burrito is like a Mexican sandwich.Every Mexican restaurant in my neck of the woods make burritos with white flour tortillas which I won't eat. Bread dominated meals aren't real meals which is why I don't eat at Ethiopian restaurants. If half a meal or sandwich is made up of any form of bread I won't waste my money or time eating it. I don't like hoagie rolls, sliced bread, unsliced loaves of bread, or Enjeri. Did I cover every form of bread Dr. Pink?
Dr. Pink
As far as I can tell. Though I personally consider anything made with flour to be bread. Like Doughnuts. Though I agree. Every Mexican restaurant in my neck of the woods too uses white flour. That is why I makie my own tortillas out of Organic Whole Wheat Flour and Water. As for bread( Sliced bread ). It's too much work to make. So I don't make it. I also make my own Pizza dough from scratch. Only with Whole Wheat Organic too( King Arthur is my favorite ). I want to switch over to Hemp Flour eventually because I hear it's better.

hsorlando
I have to agree with veganmomma on the Ethiopian bread. I went to an Ethiopian place in Portland, and the bread tasted really sour to me. Lets just say the food was interesting to say the least!
Aaron
I think I just figured out why I couldn't last in HI. I'd miss enjeri too much. I love good ethiopian. Especially good + cheap + plentiful ethiopian. Meanwhile... After a lil rocky patch over the last week or two I picked up some luna and larry's coconut bliss dark chocolate ice cream. And some fresh strawberries. Looking forward to that. : )
djshrew
I would have to say that ,besides any type of cupcake ::Yum:: , my favorites would have to be either an upatham, dosai or veg. pakora. if that is not around, pasta with alfreda sauce from vegan with a vengence (it is awesome!) All of these things are horrible for you! I do think it's funny that what we call horrible for us would be someone elses "health" food. now i'm hungry!...
