Eco Alternatives to Plastic bags?

Anything out there that is earth friendly....? Like if I want to put lettuce and store it. Non platic based?

I guess that's kind of eco friendly. We used their (Norweigan BioBag) products in the organic store I used to work for.

Not sure if it is "plastic" but it's based on starch.

I use cotton bags.

Yeah, get some nice reusable bags from Trader Joe's or Whole Foods. Or just ask them to put it in your backpack after you pay. More and more people are doing it and if you do it in front of a line of people, maybe they'll get the idea too.

do you mean at the supermarket or at home?

 

at the store, i just put the (sometimes wet) lettuce in my canvas bags or backpack when i check out. who cares if it's wet? just water.

but ziplock like. I just don't like to keep reusing the plastic ziplocks and washing them over and over again. Wast of water, plastic might leach and just plain annoying.

 

Basically I mean sandwhich bags.

For sandwhiches? You could find some clean cloth to wrap stuff in. If you need something to put like snacks in, maybe find some cute little containers to use. Either buy reusable ones like tupperware or something or find something at a thrift or goodwill store!
