@RC - I am def putting VEGA Sport on my new order. I put it on my last one but they didn;t ship it to me. so sad! Coconut is the best. especially when mixed with vega. Such a winning combo.

 

@ aluck - the peppers were yummy.

 

Thanks so much for the compliments on my log guys. It is really wonderful to hear that you all enjoy reading it. As you can tell training and cooking are two things I am passionate about. I also love eating. Mostly I am so happy to be able to share this with you all. BTW _ I think your both very hardcore chics too!

I hurt my back during the situps. I have an ice hot patch on it now and hope that it will get better really quickly but it isn't feeling so great right now.

I took the last two days off from training to rest my back. The first day I couldn't lift my right leg and the second day it just hurt to. Today it was better but still not 100 percent but I wanted to get some work it and see how it felt. It went ok. Going to ice my back and my shoulder down now.

 

I started shoulder rehab today. I had an appt with the surgeon yesterday and he said I don't have the wear the sling anymore! WHOO HOO! Rehab was really light today mostly just band and light weight work. Looking forward to going back tomorrow and hopefully getting more exercises to do. Mostly my shoulder just feels restricted now more than actual pain. It is weak and needs to get working! I have rehab for six weeks and then I should be cleared. My range of motion is good though so I'm happy about that.

 

tofu press - is a nice little contraption. Makes it easier and cleaner to press tofu but obviously not necessary but I do like it.

Felt good to run without that sling on. My cardio is not what it was before the surgery but I hope to get a lot of running in soon to get back into it. I took a break in between each mile to really stretch out my back. I didn't really go all out on the miles because of my back and because this is the first time I really arm swinging my shoulder around. Curious to see how it will feel tomorrow.

 

I forgot to log my meals the last couple of days so I forgot what they were by now but the usual vega, vega bars, smoothie.

took a little easy here today because of the back issue which finally seems to really be going away

 

Did more shouler stuff in rehab - used the arm bike for a warm up did 2+ miles on that. Then in addition to resistance band work (which I am not fond of but I understand why I need to do it) I did modified pushups and pullups. Light biceps curls and rows. Can't wait to get some real work in. My biggest restriction right now is getting my arm behind my back. I have a long way to go with that. I really like my therapist though which is a plus.

Hiked Salt Springs state park today. Was my only workout as we were scaling waterfalls and climbing the endless mountains. My shoulder is really feeling different now that I am using it. It doesn't hurt but it doesn't feel right yet.

yeah I'm done with that the peaches really bothered my allergies this time. Normally I can eat them cooked but for some reason I was suffering yesterday from them.

 

6am - 30 minutes elliptical

 

trying to get back into my 2 a day sessions but didn't feel that great this morning so I went light.

 

12 pm - shoulder rehab

adding more exercises and weight - still really weak on external rotation. mostly my arm feels like Im moving it through sand. it is weak but not painful.

 

5pm - Modified Crossfit WOD

 

3 rounds of 1 minute of each exercise

I was so hungry all day today. My stomach was bothing me this afternoon so All the ginger for dinner tonight should calm it down. This is the first time I've had NUFU - I found it to be pretty tasty I just sauteed it up in a pan.
