I fired myself from the company I work for, was given a 2nd chance and become the #1 sales person in the entire country for Vega, working with every store in Oregon that carries Vega as well as Vegan Essentials, coupled with a National tour that took me to a new city every week. I exhausted myself to the point where I could barely do all the the other things that I do on a regular basis, fulfilling all my other jobs and duties...but I did it. So now, here I am in Hawaii with my boss celebrating the year that was in 2008. Just a year ago, we sat down in a room together, along with Brendan Brazier and I fired myself because I was underachieving and under performing and I told them they should get someone else to do my job and I walked away. They stayed with me in the room, talked to me and supported me and gave me a 2nd try. Months later I went from the bottom 3rd in the company to the overwhelming #1 sales person in the company in the entire country. I completed 2008 by being #1 again for the month of December and my boss and his family are out in Hawaii taking a break from a very busy, challenging and rewarding year. I just got in a couple of days ago and will be here for an entire week. They'll be here longer. I'll get back home to work to stay at #1 and to train for my contest (though I'm training here). I'm an honorary uncle to more kids than I can keep up with, but these kids are by far my favorites....they just are. We've had a great time so far and I'll post more pics soon. I'm getting a bit more of a tan before I do some flexing photos....but they will be taken...do you worry. It was 80 degrees today and will be tomorrow. I'm hitting up the gym in the morning, then more body boarding, which is what I did this afternoon. I travel a lot for work.....including my last trip to Hawaii....but this one is just to celebrate the great work we did in 2008 when I was given a 2nd chance to prove another side of me...and we all benefited as a result. I even went to bed at 10:30 last night because I wasn't up to 2AM working.....I'm chilling out a bit this week (though still working a little). It has been an incredibly busy and challenging year but it was also my most rewarding and fulfilling year of my life. Thanks to everyone who has supported Vega from this site. I know I promote it quite a bit and have it as prizes, etc. but that is all part of my job, that I currently do better than anyone in the country. So many of you buy from Vegan Essentials, the #1 selling store for Vega in the country, and many more buy from Food Fight, the #2 selling store in the country! Both are stores I work with and a BIG reason why they are #1 and #2 is because of the members of this forum. I'm happy to be able to offer all kinds of bonus Vega products to you when you purchase from either one of those stores and that support, along with the innovative and creative work I've done in Oregon, have made me the best at what I do and have rewarded me with this vacation with my boss who is one of my biggest role models in my life and has been since we started working together back in 2005. His trust and belief in me wouldn't let him, let me fire myself and walk away. He knew I could do great things and I knew I could do, I just needed to apply myself more and think differently. It resulted in setting every sales record possible in the US, and made my income 5x what it was before, which is what allowed me to order $20K in clothing in just the past 6 months or so...that and credit cards that are still trying to be paid off. Anyway, it has been an incredible year and I thank you all for being a part of it! Now.....I'm sure some of you are wondering why I haven't been flexing in Hawaii yet.....well, I've been too busy playing with my favorite kids in the world, hanging out with one of my best buddies (my boss) and his lovely wife and I've been training, body boarding, working a little and relaxing a little as well. But............I did take some time to flex today.....I know....I need to shave, and will tonight Here are a few pics from today (note....YES I am competing in 13 weeks....but YES I have put on mass and I AM holding a lot of water from creatine intake and other things. and YES, I have competed nearly 10 times and YES I will be shredded in April, even if now....it looks as though I'm still bulking (which I am and I'm doing it fairly well, before I have to cut dramatically). Some people include the receipt or mention their exact order so I know what types of bonus things to send. Thanks! Hawaii is great! I was snorkeling today and it was fun. Gotta stay at #1! Lots of work waiting for me when I return. Today I was on the beach for 4 hours playing nearly the entire time. I made some awesome sportscenter quality catches throwing a football...some amazing catches and it was so much fun! I also went body boarding for a long time and got beached a bunch of times so that was sweet.....riding the waves all the way in until I was left on the sand....getting beached rocks Good time with the kids too! I forgot to answer your question about the little feet...they were Kayley's, she's the oldest at 6. The others are 4 and 2. We had a very fun time! Back home soon!
