xjohanx
Just one advice for you. If you're going to consume spirulina, go to a surgeon and ask him/her to remove all your taste buds first.

Zack
It tastes atrocious, but if you can handle it more power to ya.
GinaKina
They sell it at my local natural food/bulk store, but I can't say I am a fan either. I could send you some if you can't find a decent rate online.
chrisjs
Does it taste worse than maca powder? A teaspoon of that will screw up a perfectly good smoothie.
awaken375
being an eater of both i can say thatchlorella is a lot tastier than spirulina. my way of doing it is put 2tblsp spirulina and 1 or less tablespoons chlorella into a cup of orange juice. the orange juice doesn't totally remove the scent but it covers it up while you chug it in 1-2 mouthfuls. yeah, then you won't gag. joelk
Yep, MACA is pretty nasty.Spirulina runs a very close second though, tied with ginseng, they both make me gag everytime I take them
cubby2112
I like the taste of maca when it is mixed with other stuff. Straight up, it is gross.

Octopussoir
mix spirulina with applejuice and you are good to go. leanandgreen can take it straight up with just water. too salty for me.
sosso
Sometimes I'll have just spirulina and water in a drink bottle. You can drink it faster. Still tastes pretty horrible but I'm getting used to it. I've been having it in my protein shakes too - 1.5 scoops protein, 1 tbsp spirulina, 2 bananas, soy/rice milk. It tastes pretty good. I haven't gagged with this mixture

CJStewart
Mountain Rose Herbs (http://www.mountainroseherbs.com/cgi-bin/Main.pl?AID=086829&BID=4095) sells chlorella and spirulina in powder form. I mix it with apple juice or Kombucha. Not exactly tasty, but it's worth it. -Christine
Vegan Joe
Well today they were delivered by UPS. So I said what the h*ll.I took a level teaspoon of spirulina, let some saliva build up in my mouth and put the teaspoon in my mouth. It immediately sucked all the moisture out of my mouth, but I chewed it a bit and as it became moist I was able to swallow it, not to good but I know I'll be able to handle it mixed, and so I did the same thing with the chlorella. http://i40.tinypic.com/27xm07d.jpg Thanks! sosso
You're brave! I doubt I could handle a spoonful by itself. My post workout shake was 1 scoop protein, 1 tbsp spirulina, rice milk and 2 bananas. It was nice.
