kumar5
Hi, So I've been gaining weight, as I planned, for the past 3-4 months but I've also gained an inch on my stomach. It looks the same visually but the measuring tape and my pants are not lying. I'm trying to bulk so I've stopped my weekly jogging. I go to the gym 3x a week and do yoga 2x a week.I'm thinking of jogging again, just once a week to keep my gut in place. Also of cleaning my diet.Any advice? Marcina
Sounds like a good plan. If you're gaining too much fat, it's a sign you're eating too many calories. It would definitely help to do some light jogging and eat cleaner to keep that in check.
kumar5
Marcina, lol, I never thought anyone would say I'm eating too much, as I've been undereating pretty much my whole adult life. Can't wait to jog again, really. I miss the wind and the pounding of feet on the roads.
chewybaws
Agree with Marcina. I'm new to all this and have bulked once and when I did I added fat WAY quicker than I was gaining muscle because my calories were way in excess. Just lower the carbs a bit and bring some cardio in again you'll be fine
Wobbly Lifter
An inch is a pretty small amount. I gain an inch or two from a big meal. Could simply be an indication of being fully on a regular basis. An inch is pretty small anyway so even if it is weight gain, nothing to worry about when your bulking. kumar5
The inch couldn't be from eating, as I measured my waist when I woke up, before eating in 3 different weeks.I'm guessing it must be fat. Going to do some light cardio.Must it be HIIT though when I jog or can I just jog casually?
