Pushups - 1 set max

I never lock my elbows when i do push ups (or any other pressing movement), it makes no sense and puts only stress on the joint while taking it off the muscles.

 

I used to be able to do 100, back in the days when i did endless sets of 80-100 every day, but i haven't done a single pushup since this one day last year when i tried to do as many in a day as possible

 

So, i'm not going to top your 40 Will

dude! i recently learned (from my chiropractor) how wrong i was doing them -- major sag in the middle of the body. i used to do them quick and loose, trying to crank out as many as possible.

 

now that i do them with proper form and slowly, i get shakey around 10.

 

the results do feel better, though.

Actually it will be a good baseline for me as I start my routine.

 

Wait a minute..... you're doing American pushups and I'm doing Canadian pushups, does that mean my 1 pushup is only worth about 85% of your 1 pushup or are we going to be on par???
