Scarlatina
First time poster - so thanks for hearing me out! I am trying to decide whether to order spirulina from NOW Foods or Ultimate Life. Both companies have been around for awhile, but with NOW Foods, I always question why their products are so cheap and the huge array of products they sell. Now I know that they don't advertise, which keeps costs down, but neither does Ultimate Life. For some reason, and maybe it is solely because Ultimate Life is more expensive, I believe that Ultimate Life may make a superior product. I have ingrained in my mind that "you get what you pay for." I've done some exhaustive internet research trying to find more information about NOW Foods but really have not come up with a whole lot. I was just wondering if anyone could offer any insight on this topic.
HawaiiDolphin
If you're looking for just regular spirulina, the cheapest I've ever seen is veganproteins.com, and I know that everything they carry is fantastic. Definitely check them out because they're friends of the forum and always have great stuff for great prices. That being said, I'm not too familiar with Now or Ultimate Life. cubby2112
I buy NOW's stuff all the time. I know they source a lot of their stuff from the same suppliers as bigger companies, but just save a lot on overhead by using standard labels, packaging and not advertising much. I think you are safe with them.
pazios2002
well all I know is that NOW rice protien tasted horrible to me. I had picked some rice protein up in florida while I was visiting family. I think it was Nutrobiotic or something like that made it. I liked that one alot, so I figured I would try the NOW up here. Man it tasted like cotton balls to me.
