MarsAttacks
Hey everyone....Just came across this.:http://www.bellplantation.com/nutrition It's powdered peanut butter. You simply add water or soy milk to it. It tastes good and has 85% less fat than regular peanut butter. For those dieting down it's a treasure! Fallen_Horse
Ya looks like it could be good stuff. They sell some ultra low-fat PB in the stores here, not powdered. I think also you can get generic defatted peanut powder from the bulk food websites....
vegimator
That is pretty awesome. I'd love to be get more protein that way.
vegimator
I started thinking it might be cheaper to just buy defatted peanut flour and make it myself and then started thinking it would be even better with almond flour since it has a better AA profile. Anyone know where to find defatted almond meal/flour? If you want to go with peanut flour, this site sells 5 pounds of it for $22.45. Considerably cheaper than the P2 stuff and you're buying less packaging and can add your own salt or sugar. It comes in a light and a dark roast. http://www.byrdmill.com/content/5-lb-peanut-flour-light-12http://www.byrdmill.com/content/5-lb-peanut-flour-dark-
cubby2112
Their dark roast is addictive.
chrisjs
Hah I like when you click to their products screen their featured recipe calls for 3/4c butter and a BOX of sugar. I'm sure the fact the PB is defatted makes up for that... Anyone figure out what this stuff costs compared to normal natural PB? And where'd you find the dark roast?
