I started thinking it might be cheaper to just buy defatted peanut flour and make it myself and then started thinking it would be even better with almond flour since it has a better AA profile. Anyone know where to find defatted almond meal/flour?

If you want to go with peanut flour, this site sells 5 pounds of it for $22.45. Considerably cheaper than the P2 stuff and you're buying less packaging and can add your own salt or sugar. It comes in a light and a dark roast.

Hah I like when you click to their products screen their featured recipe calls for 3/4c butter and a BOX of sugar. I'm sure the fact the PB is defatted makes up for that...

Anyone figure out what this stuff costs compared to normal natural PB? And where'd you find the dark roast?
