Fallen_Horse
There is too much bickering in this damn place. I stopped going to VF very much because there was a lack of interesting discussion. Here there is discussion, but it always devolves into 'me vs. you'. Where shall I go now?
Baby Hercules
Do what I do: only revisit the threads that inspire you and leave the rest alone. Easy to clean, easy to use. Baby Herc
pazios2002
While I agree that things seem to me to be becoming "You vs Me" , ironically I left VF for the same reason. I actually don't know any other places. Let me know how you make out. Also make sure that there are a lot of women. LOL
Im Your Man
I was banned from VeganFitness forum because they found what I was writing was politically incorrect, or just incorrect, too shocking, controversial, or they just didn't agree with me, their academic and republicain point of views, I was bringing too much fire and action into their rigid forum full of rules and laws. Well we could use this thread for interesting discussions. What should we talk about ? To all of you, what are your opinions about the future, let's say in 500 years, what do you think it will be like ? A grey sky full of pollution or a blue sky and lots of fresh green grass ? Wars or universal peace with zero crimes ? Meat-eating or everyone is vegan ? I think it will be chaos like almost the end, or a very peaceful world. It cannot stay like it is now for very long, so it must get a lot better, otherwise it will become much worse. And I think the only way it gets better is if each individual finds inner peace. Universal peace cannot exist if not everyone is happy. Veganism is not enough. Many vegans, omnis, etc are full of anger, stress, etc. Each person must meditate to purify his mind. Later if there are no more impurities in society then maybe there will be less individual work to do. But now, most people's mind are full of violence, pornography, regrets, anger, etc. I've been to a 10 day Vipassana meditation course and it is insane all the crazu stuff that went out of my mind. Since I got out of there, about 9 days, I didn't feel any stress or anger, not even for 5 seconds. I try to meditate morning and evening but society is slowly catching me again... I am no able to do yoga as often I as used to and am not going often at the gym. I eat crap more and more often, I don't sleep enough, etc... Baby Hercules
I'm glad this forum is here. I tried some vegan and raw foods groups in town for friendship and support--what a disaster that was! The vegans all shunned me because I drive a truck (not environmental enough for them) and the raw foodists treated me like the bastard at a family reunion because I didn't weigh 90 pounds and look like I just came off chemo, like them. Gross. I'll stick with my body builders any day! Love ya! Baby Herc
vegimator
I do feel like this place is a lot less focused than it once was. Hopefully johan and some of the other people who stopped posting are just enjoying their summers and will be back in the fall.
VeganEssentials
Sorry if my fueling the fires has had a negative impact on how you feel about the board (not just an apology to FH, but to everyone). I should have known to participate in as many threads that I have where things turned south - I was trying to get things back on course, but ultimately, I had a hand in their habit of falling apart. Things will change back to normal in due time once more of our group comes back, just wait and see!
Zack
To all of you, what are your opinions about the future, let's say in 500 years, what do you think it will be like ? At approximately this time, my body will be found frozen in space by other life forms. These life forms will have the knowledge to bring me back to life, fully conscious of all my past experiences. I will then be able to virtually stop aging, and will not have a need for food. I will use this time to accomplish my dream of exploring the known universe and finding my way into alternate universes where I can fly and blow things up using energy blasts from my hands. Ducati
I like the fact that one can express their opinion here without being moderated to death. VeganForum and VeganFitness both restrict a great deal of free speech based upon the owners bias. If you don't like a thread, you don't need to join in or read it. Simple as that. lobsteriffic
I do like this forum. But a lot of threads seem to go back to the same argument over and over again and that gets a bit tiring. But I just choose to not read those threads.

VeganForum and VeganFitness both restrict a great deal of free speech based upon the owners bias. So true, Ducati. I left a very popular hiking group/forum where I was both moderator and event organizer due to the anal retentive mothering and fear mongering going on. It was as if they didn't trust people to make their own decisions. How beneficial a resource is a forum where you aren't allowed to share both your successes and your failures so folks can learn along with you? beforewisdom
VeganForum and VeganFitness both restrict a great deal of free speech based upon the owners bias. VeganForum is a joke, IMHO, though to be fair I haven't been there in over 5 years. When I first joined the owner ( who always spoke as "we" as if anyone owned the forum aside from him ) accused me of being a spammer because I posted links to vegan events that charged money for attending. vegetariansummerfest.org was one of them. I guess he expected some rich vegan to pay for everyone's meals and lodging. What a spammer I am, posting links to vegan events, on you know.....a *vegan* forum. Korn ( the admin ) also had a pet belief that the vitamin b-12 issue was all hype designed to make money ( 7 cents a day.....woo hoo ) and he believed that people could get b-12 from almost every where if they just "lived more naturally". It didn't matter to him that most people could not. I got banned for posting information about vitamin b-12 and Jack Norris' article on the subject. Who knows how many new vegans Korn made sick or quit veganism as a result of his enforced superstitions.

el_flaco
There is too much bickering in this damn place. I stopped going to VF very much because there was a lack of interesting discussion. Lots of training talk and advice though, which is what I look for in a vegan fitness forum. The "bodybuilding and strength training" forum here is painfully quiet. It seems to me that on both forums the guys who get most involved in the arguing and bickering are the ones contributing the least to the fitness aspect of the forum. Certainly two of the guys here complaining about VF did nothing but spoil for arguments during their time there.
