Devils Plaything
Hey guys, I'm planing to enter a natural BB comp in october. So I was wondering which of the Protan products are suitable for vegans! I guess some of you guys have a clue, right?
Octopussoir
Yes, protan is vegan! Dreamtan is not. It contains beeswax.
Devils Plaything
Are all Protan products vegan or just selected ones?
Octopussoir
Not sure about the other products. Ive only used the overnight color and I know its vegan.
SeaSiren
Hey octo, how do you like the over night color? Do you have to layer it? My last comp was the end of 2009 (pre-baby) and I was using the reg protan. I needed 3 coats min. of it. No fun but necessary to get the right color. I was using the bowl and brush slap on (thick coat) method. DP- yippie on your comp! I'm excited.

robert
Yeah, I've used a lot of ProTan in my day. Note that you may need many coats of it! Awesome to hear you'll be competing! Can't wait to hear about it! What I would do is layer it all week. Put on a coat, sleep in it (but use old sheets, it will stain everything!), shower off in the morning, train, etc. put on another coat at night, sleep...repeat all week long to get darker and darker. I've been light on stage with only a couple of coats the day before and day of, so give it a few days to really sink in. All the BEST!
