lobsteriffic
well I don't know how much sense this will make if you don't follow Canadian politics....but essentially the biggest douche bag EVER was elected Prime Minister...with a majority government, which means we are stuck with him for 5 years! Good-bye health care and justice system, hello major deficit. Seriously, look at this guy, I just want to punch him. http://aroundwinnipeg.files.wordpress.com/2011/03/stephen-harper.jpg Who voted for this idiot??? Seriously, look at this guy, I just want to punch him. http://aroundwinnipeg.files.wordpress.com/2011/03/stephen-harper.jpg Who voted for this idiot??? I don't know anything about him - just checked wiki...looks like he won by a landslide, wow 75%?!I don't believe our beloved Ronald Reagan even received that much in his hallmark landslide victory. Anyway, looks like the majority of the population backs Harper...sorry you feel different... Anyway, hope you are feeling better soon & can hit the gym with a renewed vigor! I had to take a couple of weeks off recently as well...it can be the pits - especially when you are making good progress.
lobsteriffic
Uh...I'm not sure where you got that 75% number from, but it's wrong. The Conservative party won 167 seats out of a possible 308, which is only 54%. Thanks for the well wishes though.
lobsteriffic
Unless you are talking about the Conservative leadership vote? But that was just to see who the leader of that political party would be. Not to see who would be the Canadian Prime Minister.

lobsteriffic
Well hold that thought until you hear about my crappy workout today! 05/10/11: AM:5 x 0.5 miles - 90 second recovery between Wow this SUCKED. Was okay for the first two, but then I started to feel pretty lethargic. The last two sprints were my regular running pace, not really sprints, and even those were difficult to finish. After the workout I felt pretty crummy for a couple of hours. Super lame. I thought I was more recovered than that. Oh well, I'll keep on trucking.
