Recently Vegan and struggling with diet..

I have just finished reading Robert's book but I didn't see female samples of bodybuilding diets. I used to be 17% body fat and after surgery this year and a number of health issues have gained back quite a bit of body fat. When I was at 17% body fat I was still a meat eater, so I am lost as to how to lean out again being a Vegan. I'm afraid to eat too much fruit...etc. Does anyone have a sample of diets they use to lean out who are female? Any help would be appreciated.
