Bye, Juju Kitty

Recommended Posts

My cat, Juju, died today. It was completely unexpected. She went to the vet for a check up less than a month ago and we were told she was very healthy. She seemed completely fine and normal. But my girlfriend came home from the dog park earlier today and found her on the floor. We figure she must have had a heart attack or something. I am glad that she didn't go through any kind of sickness or anything, but I'm totally stunned that she's gone.

She was an awesome cat. She greeted me at the door every time I came home. The first words I would say when I got home were "hi, juju kitty!" because she was always right there. She slept at my feet every night and would always be here on my lap when I was at the computer.

Last month was the 14 year anniversary of her arriving in my life.

Here are a couple of photos of her.

Liz,

I am really sorry to hear about Juju Kitty

I have had animal companions pass along too and it can be rough. I know Brandon just went through it with his dog Caesar as well.

Again, I'm sorry to hear the news.

I'm sorry for your loss Liz . Juju Kitty was beautiful and giving you the look of love in that 2nd photo. I read something today where someone said, "this is what we campaign for. Animals to live their natural life to a natural end" -- and Juju Kitty did. I'm certain she had a happy and content life with you.

So sorry for your loss. What a beautiful kitty.

Hope you can take some solace in the fact that you gave juju a great, long life.

"this is what we campaign for. Animals to live their natural life to a natural end"

that's a great way to put it.

Liz,

I have two kitties myself and they both greet me at the door when I come home (well, when they feel like it). Rambo always yells good morning to Matt (Tarz) when he calls me in the morning for my wake up call.

I know the hole in your heart you are feeling right now - but fill it with memories of the love you showered juju kitty with, who lived a happy long life of love and security. Juju kitty looks more like a "Queen Juju".

Juju kitty is playing with Caesar (Brandon's dog) right now - and all the other companion animals we have lost along the way.

**hugs** to you

Am so sorry to hear of your loss. I would be devastated if anything happened to any of my animals.

I hope this brings you some comfort. It was sent to me recently when one of my rabbits died.

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.

There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.

There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.

The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

Oh my God that is the sweetest and saddest thing. The only thing though is that I hope all the animals that were NOT close to any human and never knew any kind of human love or even a modicum of human kindness in their lifetimes on earth (i.e. farm animals, lab animals, etc.) also get to go to Rainbrow Bridge, where they may finally know some peace.

Liz, I'm so sorry to hear about your kitty!

It's so hard to lose an animal companion. I don't know why some of us fall in love with creatures that have such a short life span compared to us, but we do!

I'm sure that JuJu kitty had a most excellent life with you, and it sounds like it was a quick exit. That's the best any of us can hope for.
