Mini Forklift
Just curious to what toothpastes you all use? http://www.healthstore.uk.com/images/www.healthstore.uk.com/extralarge/090911Sarakan_toothpaste_2.jpg http://www.healthstore.uk.com/p172547/sarakan-toothpaste-50ml.html I'm using this one at the moment but it's always a bit hit and miss as to whether they have it in stock. Which other ones are good brands to buy? Thanks in advance
Fallen_Horse
I refuse to use a toothpaste that doesn't have flouride, so I usually go with Toms Whitening or Toms Multi-care.

Fallen_Horse
Bad unless you want to keep your teeth. Then it's essential.
Mini Forklift
Bad unless you want to keep your teeth. Then it's essential.Excess fluoride can cause mottling of the teeth, and we do pick up a fair bit through our diet. I've never really used it, that's just my opinion of course but I'll be 36 this year and I don't have a single filling, crown etc. Don't plan on any either! I'm sure there are pro's and cons for both sides
ChaserHUN
I've used fluoride free toothpastes for about 2 years and my teeth got really sensitive to everything. I started to use fluoirated toothpastes again my sensitivity gone away.Nowdays I use Elmex wich contains amine fluoride http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ElmexBut used Oralseven products as well. Couldn't find any info if these companies test on animals or don't, but helped my teeth a lot. Alverde, Logona, Dr. Organic, Faith in Nature, Apeiron are probably all vegan, tried alverde, wasn't too satisfied with the results, use apeiron, clean great but after a while my teeth got sensitive
karpasz
Currently, this one (Apoteket = State-owned apothecary here in Sweden). Mainly because no store at close distance had my favourite Kingfisher: http://www.apoteket.se/_ApoLayouts/img/produkt/thumbs/206126s.jpg http://kingfishertoothpaste.co.uk/front-page-images/mint-FF.jpg
karpasz
Fluoride vs no-fluoride... depends where you live. A lot of veggies are watered with water containing high levels of F and some states/countries add fluoride into their water systems - so, added NaF in toothpaste is unneccesary. mrbear666
anyone who thinks fluoride is a good thing should watch a documentary on utube called "the great culling - our water"

ChaserHUN
I think SLS is a much bigger problem in toothpaste than fluoride
Mini Forklift
I think SLS is a much bigger problem in toothpaste than fluorideYou're right, I don't think either are good. People just don't get told about things like SLS (which I believed was originally developed as an engine de-greaser) and aluminium in deodorants
ChaserHUN
I'm unsure about fluoridehttp://www.violey.com/en/apeiron-auromre-ayurvedic-herbal-toothpaste_p_2075.html I used this for 2 years, cleans the teeth good, but it got really sensitive, since I started using toothpaste that has fluoride the sensitivity is gone
