TomSan
Hi all, I recently moved to Oxford in the UK after working as an English teacher for years in various countries. I've been a vegetarian for about ten years (very easy in China; not so easy in Russia!) but decided as a new year's resolution to get big and start to move towards a more vegan lifestyle. I like the idea of challenging people's preconceptions that being vegans means being weak and weedy. I was directed here by Robert's excellent book and it seems like a really useful resource so far. Good luck with it all.

TomSan
Thanks all for the welcome. Jacob - thanks for the tip, there's no doubt the Gardners arms is a good place for a pint and a pie! Let me know if you discover any other good spots.
