Crissy
Hi all! I am Crissy from Italy. I have been vegan for 9 years, so this lifestyle is not new to me... and yet my diet is really poor. I neglect myself: for example, if I am at home alone or I have to pack my lunchbox, I don't cook but just grab some fruit or some bread. That's awfull, I know.I have always been an athletic person, however... I love doing sports and staying active, so these habits are definitely not good for me. I realized I want to change. Eating crap make me feel crap and I need to improve my diet, but I don't know who to ask for advice (everybody seems to worship “animal protein”... you already know the rest of the story).I am 22 years old, female, 5ft 4in tall, ~120 lb. I don't need to lose much weight (I barely weight myself once in a blue moon) but I want to reduce my body fat percentage (that means visible abs).On Tuesday I am starting Insanity. For those who don't know what it is, it's a tough cardio program based on HIIT. I plan to workout in the morning and do some yoga in the evening. I want to get off on the right foot, so I need to find a diet to follow.According to my heart monitor, I should burn 450 calories per workout. The guide included with the dvds says I should eat no more than 1600 calories, 40% of them coming from protein. I am confused because I am sure I am not able to get so much protein even adding protein powders! Can you help me to find the diet which is good for me? Thanks xoxoPS. so sorry for my bad English – I hope you understand despite the grammar mistakes
