vegan_rossco
So since I've been training again I've been waking up during the night very dehydrated and desperately needing to pee.. Despite remedying this straight away and going back to sleep I still get this again once I wake up in the morning. Anyone else have this? Or have a solution? Just to confirm I drink plenty of water throughut the day and am never dehydrated during the day.
chewybaws
How much do you drink in the hours before bed?
vegan_rossco
I usually blend a protien shake a couple hours after dinner which tends to be an hour or two before bed so not loads. I take a bottle of water to bed for when I get thirsty in the middle of the night too
VeggieWarrior13
I have this same problem and I drink about 32 ounces between dinner and bed... I thought maybe I was still dehydrated even though I drink about a gallon or water or just over each day.
chewybaws
Sometimes I notice if I sleep somewhere it's really warm I wake up with a dry throat, same if I fall asleep on my back or some weird position (not very often). I think feeling thirsty in the morning is normal though, at least for me
vegan_rossco
Okay then that's fine, long as its not just me aha, yeah if I sleep on my back I tend to snore myself awake or jolt like I've fallen over in my dream or something.. Proper weird!Didn't have this issue last night maybe I should just drink more water throughout the day
lepiante
Maybe your drinking too much water and flushing out the minerals and/or your intake of minerals is low. The jolting might be a sign of Vitamin D deficiency, I use to jolt before falling asleep and during a dream when I was deficient.
_Redwood_
Vegans pee more. This is because the 2 by-products of expending carbohydrate energy are CO2 (which you breathe out) and water (which you pee out) and vegans just tend to get more carbs throughout the day. Plus when you're working out consistently, the body requires more of everything, like straight water. So... What's going on sounds pretty normal.
