Hello From sunny California

Hi Everyone!

 

I'm new here and recently discovered this forum. I've hit a sort of roadblock. I've been vegan for about 4 years and I love it. I wouldn't put the blinders back on for anything. I'm just sad that it too soooooo long for it to happen (I'm in my early 30s). Anyway, I've been working on losing weight and getting fit. Currently, I try to run/walk every other day. Sadly, I'm not doing any sort of weight training. Im at 153ish now, but I would love to get to about 125, since I'm pretty darn short. I get into tracking my food for a while with MFP, but then I feel too obsessed I guess, then I just stop and try to eat pretty clean. I guess it just feels like its taking too long as I've been at trying to lose weight for a while. Well, I was 177 this time last year, so I guess I'm getting somewhere. Can't wait to chat with everyone, learn a bunch and maybe offer some assistance. See ya around

Hey welcome to the forum! No need to lift weights to get in shape. You can do a ton of training with just your own bodyweight. There are a ton of resources for bodyweight and calisthenic training online. Anyhow, consider starting a training log to track your progress. Other people can weigh in, and we can reach our goals together.
