Has anyone had IV fluids when they are hungover?

I was in the ER this morning for an issue mostly unrelated to being hungover. They started an IV and within twenty minutes, I was feeling like a million bucks (in regard to the hangover aspect). My friend who is a fellow second year and was a paramedic for years before starting school has offered in the past to start IVs on us when we are hungover, and it never sounded that appealing, but now that I now how awesome it makes you feel (vs trying to down bottles and bottles of water and Gatorade) ... Well, I'm kinda interested. And does anyone have any suggestions on where to get the fluids from? We aren't working in the hospital yet so I don't know where to get them from.

(There is one of those boutique medicine places where I live that will start an IV on you, but it's about $200, a bit more than I'm looking to pay.)

Not sure how it works for people who aren't let licensed or officially working as medical professionals yet BUT for anyone who is "legitimate" this isn't actually legal. I have some friends who are medics in the military who were actually charged (through the military) for running IV lines for drunkies. I know this is the same thing for civilian paramedics (at least where I'm from). So if you do this in the future just keep that in mind.

Hi, I had to resort to IV therapy when I had a horrible hangover a month ago. To be honest, at first I thought it didn't make sense and wouldn't help me get rid of my hangover, but the vegas hangover iv specialists quickly made me change my mind, as they promptly came to my hotel, put in an IV and within half an hour I felt as if I had been reborn. I hope my answer helps you!
