Alex
Hey there, just wondering if there is a right way to take vitamins. I mean if we have more than one vitamin to take, is it ok to take them all at the same time or is it better to take them at different times. I take about 4-5 different vitamins, and take 2 or 3 at a time. I just curious and want to know if it really matters how we take vitamins. I read some where about synergy and combining vitamins to make them more effective together as opposed to taking them alone. Just thought it was interesting. willpeavy
A lot of times there are instructions in the fine print on the bottle. For example, I take a ZMA at least several hours away from a calcium supplement for best absorption. What specific ones are you taking?
Alex
Right now im taking my vegan multi, flax oil capsules, grapefruit seed extract, glucosamine chondroitin, and vitamin c.
Kathryn
I think iron and calcium conflict, and should be taken at different times.
Kathryn
glucosamine chondroitin FYI: unless glucosamine is labeled vegan, it comes from shellfish. And there is no vegan form of chondroitin I(comes from cow trachea?) available (yet), so this is not a vegan supplement.
Alex
Stopped taking it. Thanks for the heads up. I'll figure out some thing to replace it with.
Kathryn
Stopped taking it. Thanks for the heads up. I'll figure out some thing to replace it with. www.veganessentials.com carries several vegan joint supplements with vegan glucosamine. I like Vegan Joint Supreme. It has vegan glucosamine, hyaluronic acid MSM and soy sterols in. I like the ingredients, and I also like that it's a capsule with powder instead of a hard tablet (I open the capsule and put the powder in my morning smoothie). Odidnetne
I normally make sure I take it with some kind of food, though I just take a vegan multivitamin.
