tonybil
Recently I found an old Panasonic RQ-S35V and thought, why not try it again? I remember listening to my first cassettes on it as a child. It was my constant companion: on trips, on walks, even at school during breaks. It seems to have some interesting sound enhancement mode, but I don’t remember exactly how to use it. Does anyone else remember this player and what was special about it? It would be interesting to know if anyone still uses such things?
melissared
Yes, I remember this player, I also had a Panasonic RQ-S35V! It was considered a cool thing at the time, especially because of its compact size and pretty good sound for those years. It had an XBS (Extra Bass System) mode, which boosted the low frequencies. I remember how it made the sound richer, especially on rock cassettes. If you suddenly can’t find the manual, you can download it here: Panasonic RQ-S35V download instruction manual pdf. I hope you can bring back that feeling of nostalgia!
rinata77
It is interesting that now there are talks about old technology again, especially cassette players are coming back into fashion. I myself did not use them, but as a child I always wanted a similar device. I have heard that many find a special atmosphere in old players that is not present in modern devices. I enjoy reading such discussions, I remember how technologies were simpler, but very much loved.
