Raw Ambition
As we attend school to get a better education, and search for higher knowledge, we seem to take the knowledge that is being taught to us as GOSPEL. Don't fall prey to this way of thinking. Schools can be wrong. Knowledge is NOT crystalized, and without fault. One should remember that, our professors are not privy to celestial knowledge, they too were once students, who were taught how to teach, and who's teachers taught them, going further back. I'm not sure if most people are aware, but for years, all schooling was taught by the church. And the church jailed a man by the name of Gallileo because he merely suggested that the earth revolved around the sun, and not the other way around, when they could see with their own eyes the sun moving across the sky on a daily basis. Don't allow yourself to be told what to think, use knowledge as a means to enlighten your own thoughts.

finbarrio
Good stuff, Raw. Disbelieving everything you were ever taught as being true is very liberating. It allows you to start anew and build your own belief system that is much more in line with who YOU are. It also makes you realize why other people think the way they do, and how full of shite they are.

Raw Ambition
I'm not saying one should disbelieve EVERYTHING they read/learn/hear. Just don't blindly believe it, just "because". Put it to the test, make logical conclusions, but even then DON'T assume that what you believe is the absolute truth, because once you confine your beliefs/understand, you've created a limit for your own growth. To borrow a phrase from an amazing person, who defined his philosophy of life as thus: "Have no limit, as your limit" Or something like that....
