rinata77
Guys, can you tell me how a private ADHD diagnosis goes? The thing is, my brother is 21 and has had concentration problems all his life, but only recently has he thought it might be ADHD. Decided to get tested, but it takes a long time to book an appointment through the NHS and he doesn't want to wait. Thinking of a private clinic but not sure what it looks like, just tests or a full examination? Maybe someone has already had one?
melissared
I took the survey a couple months ago. If it's important for my brother to get an answer quickly, a private option is definitely better. I signed up here - private adhd assessment cambridge, got a consultation within a week. The process itself included a questionnaire, a conversation with the doctor and some attention and memory tests. The doctor explained the results in detail and it really helped me understand how to manage my symptoms. If you have any questions, ask, I'll tell you more! tonybil
Interesting topic. I always thought that ADHD was only diagnosed in childhood, but it turns out that adults are also tested. So, many people may not realize they have ADHD their whole lives? I wonder what the symptoms are as an adult. For example, attention problems and forgetfulness are standard, but is there anything else?
