Deepfakes have become increasingly popular in recent years, and they are only getting better every day. These technologies can be used both for entertainment purposes and in a wide variety of fraudulent schemes, including blackmail and fake news. With that in mind, the question I'm concerned about is: how do social media and other online platforms control the spread of deepfakes?

Social media platforms such as Facebook and YouTube use AI algorithms to detect dipfakes by analyzing artifacts and inconsistencies in videos, such as lip syncing and eye movement. Platforms also collaborate with experts to improve monitoring systems. If content violates policies, it can be removed or the account blocked. In addition, systems are being developed to detect fakes early. However, despite improvements, such technologies are not always accurate. It's an interesting problem, and I think social networks are mostly fighting it with technology and policies. But sometimes they don't react fast enough, and fake videos manage to gain popularity. Perhaps in the future there will be more efforts to prevent the spread of dipfakes, but for now it all depends on how effective these systems are.
