tonybil
Summer is almost upon us, and I was starting to think about where to go with a tent. I remembered how a couple of years ago my friends and I went camping, we just poked at a map - it turned out to be an accident, but brilliant. There was a river, pine trees, a campfire, all without the crowds of campers. The best part was the morning when you woke up to the sun and the smell of smoke. Since then we try to go somewhere every year. Do you have any tried and tested camping locations that have really stuck in your heart?
melissared
I had a similar story - went spontaneously to the mountains, and it turned out to be one of the best campgrounds I've ever been to. Now I've been living in Idaho for a long time, and I'll be honest - it's a camper's paradise. So many places where you can pitch a tent, build a fire and wake up to the sound of the river or birds singing. For example, Stanley or the area near Priest Lake - there are few people, nature is untouched, and the views are crazy. Sometimes we just throw the essentials in our backpack, get in the car and look for a new place. You don't have to travel far to feel completely disconnected from everything. rinata77
I stumbled upon this discussion by chance and just wanted to go to nature. In summer I often think about how I could get away from the city for at least a couple of days, but I keep putting it off. Perhaps I should just stop thinking and go. These topics are really motivating - everything sounds so simple and cool, especially when people share stories, not just lists of places.
